Onquata

Description

ONQUATA is a mother-daughter project founded by Lise and Lara, born from the desire to showcase and celebrate Indigenous craftsmanship. Located in Wendake, ONQUATA specializes in handcrafted paddles, carefully created in respect of tradition and authentic materials.

A true boutique-workshop, ONQUATA is recognized as one of the warmest and most beautiful spaces in Québec. Visitors have the opportunity to watch artisans at work, whether crafting paddles or creating other handmade pieces, offering a unique immersion into the heart of the Indigenous creative process. The shop features a wide variety of Indigenous artisanal products, along with a curated selection representing the 11 First Nations of Québec, each piece telling a story and reflecting a deep connection to the land.

Through its creative workshops, ONQUATA invites visitors to enjoy an authentic, hands-on experience, to create with their own hands and leave with a meaningful keepsake. Whether to learn, explore, or shop in an inspiring space, a visit to ONQUATA is a memorable cultural and human encounter.

The boutique is open to visitors, and select products are also available online at www.onquata.com.
